Door guardians arrived beautifully-packaged. Pinewood, suiting exactly for where they were ordered for. Heng with mouth closed, Ha open. Will definitely appreciate next time I see these outside temples in the wild. Symbolic knowledge, 👍

Aged Ripe Pu Er Tea

I am 5' 11" and weigh 180 lbs. The 5XL size fits perfect on me and its very light, airy and baggy how I like. I will be buying more to make my daily go to for pants. The belt is a nice addition but fits nicely just using the elastic waist. I also very much enjoy that it has pockets. I would highly recommend getting these if you are looking for daily training pants.

There a solid comfortable pair of pants you can train in, wear to work, or wear out on a warm day. A little thin for chilly days. I’m 5,7 (170cm) and about 155 (70 kilos) and I got a XXL, which is a good fit.

A very nice t-shirt made of a soft-to-the-touch cotton and sized perfectly. The logo is subtle, understated and on the left breast area which I like. If you’re a bit more self-aggrandising, egocentric perhaps, you might prefer one of the other, full-chested designs, but someone as humble as me, but with deadly hands, this is perfect.

I followed the sizing guide but since they have elasticated ankles, you don’t have to worry too much about the length; on arrival, mine looked too long but on donning them, they were pleasingly blousy about the ankle. They look very classy and stylish and I could very easily just wear them around the house. My only minor gripe is the material is very a light linen, almost gauze-like. This’ll be fine for the hot summer day we get in June, but on cooler days these will be overly airy and one should exercise caution when contemplating ‘going commando’ . A heavier-weight material option would therefore be nice.

I’ve always ed loved these ‘temple gate guardians’ knowing them by their Japanese nomenclature, Niō’/shūkongōshin/kongō rikishi, Agyō with his mouth open letting out his rage, Ungyō with his mouth closed keeping it internalised. These are so well carved and in great detail and very tactile too. They arrived in a lovely large presentation box which really set them off and protected them on their long journey from China to England. Their faces are suitably fierce and I love them. My only slight criticism is that they appear to have been oiled with something which has given them a rather strong orange hue, rather like a certain world leader. I’m hoping this will fade over time…like I hope that certain world leader fades!

One size above the chart and they're fantastic!

I ordered the traditional and the loose ankle kung fu pants and I really like them. I took the traditional one size above the chart and they're perfect, the loose ankle not and they're a bit tight.

The material is durable yet breathable, allowing for full range of motion without feeling restrictive. Kicks, splits etc, all doable. Feels like i can do some good training with them, also walk around the town without feeling stared at.

Finally they do not aggrevate my Excema. Ive already brought another pair.
